'The View', one of America's favorite shows, is adding two more co-hosts to its season 26. Ana Navarro, a long-time contributor to the show, and Alyssa Farah Griffin, a former Donald Trump staffer, are expected to join the team. According to a report by Variety, Navarro has agreed on a multi-year deal to be the permanent host of the show, however, she may not be appearing every day on the screens.

Navarro and Griffin will join the team along with moderator Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, and Joy Behar. Hence, there will be a total of six hosts in season 26. Both women identify themselves as Republicans, and their political stands on various issues are poles apart. Hence, we can expect to witness discussions on several issues with different points of view on the show.

Recently, there have been several controversies surrounding the show, with Goldberg receiving widespread criticism due to her assertion that the Holocaust was “not about race”, which eventually led to her two-week suspension. Also, her remarks on abortion like "He gave us freedom of choice" and ''He made us smart enough to know when it wasn't going to work for us" received a lot of backlash from viewers.

Therefore, the team has decided to bring in fan favorites Navarro and Farah Griffin to the host panel. Though Navarro has inked the agreement to be a permanent co-host, she will continue to work in her role as a political commentator on CNN and Telemundo. The same is the case with Farah Griffin who will also be continuing her role as a political commentator on CNN.

In a statement released by ABC News, Navarro stated, "The View is an institution and incomparable platform for women of different backgrounds to share their opinions and insights. It’s been a long courtship, but we’re finally making it official.” She added, “I love being on the show, and I love living in Miami. I’m happy I will be able to do both. Thank you to ABC News, ‘The View’ family, and our loyal viewers for their continued support.”

Farah Griffin said, "I couldn’t be more honored and thrilled to join the ladies of The View," adding, "The show paved the way for women speaking up and speaking out on TV." She further said, "At a time when our country is so divided, often on partisan lines, I’m honored to represent the conservative perspective." She continued, "I hope to model what is too often lost by our elected leaders: learning from others, disagreeing respectfully, and focusing on finding real solutions for our country.”

'You deserve this'

'The View' fans took to Twitter to congratulate the new co-hosts of the show. A user tweeted, "Congratulations Ana. I watched The View less than an hour ago when this was announced. You're so smart, witty, and funny. I love how direct and to the point you are on many topics. You deserve this. Have a great day Ana."

Another user chimed in, "Funny... I was in tears too! For, both, Ana and Alyssa!!! The show just went "up" a notch. I'm looking forward to both of their voices on Hot Topics!! #womenrock."

Another fan stated, "Ana is a role model for how to be self-assured, authentic, powerful, Traits that many women struggle with; especially women of a certain age. It's never to late to learn especially from observing/listening to Ana, a fantastic teacher by way of just being who she is."

Another user tweeted, "I don’t agree with the Republicans on almost everything but I do believe Alyssa is the very best choice to give balance and a voice for conservatives. I’ve watched her on many media outlets & she’s intelligent, polite with calmness."

Another user opined, "Congrats loving what you say, Americans needs government that respond to futures that await society. we always give back to government. Most Republicans are thinking only about themselves and profits. Government is not selfish. united means AMERICANS THAT PROVIDED TO GOVERNMENT."
