WARNING: Spoilers for ‘The Undoing’ Episode 3 ‘Do No Harm’ and Episode 4 ‘See No Evil’

A murder mystery can keep gnawing at the back of your mind. HBO's ‘The Undoing’ takes that feeling to a whole new level with suspicions hanging over many heads after Elena Alves (Matilda De Angelis) is found bludgeoned to death. Towards the final scene of Episode 3 ‘Do No Harm’, Grace Fraser (Nicole Kidman) goes to the police to report Fernando Alves (Ismael Cruz Córdova), who she believes was stalking her and could still be a suspect in Elena's murder.

The detectives show her a clip where Grace can be seen walking near the crime scene. Not only Jonathan Fraser (Hugh Grant), Grace, too, seems to be a major suspect. The only person who seems to be away from all the doubts is their son, Henry. While logic may argue that he is too young to have committed the gory crime, there are many clues that point in his direction. Here are five reasons he could have committed the crime.

Humiliation at school

Henry could have spotted his father and Elena at school and then noticed that his dad was cheating on his mom. Angry with his father, he could have followed him and committed the crime. Now, maybe Jonathan knows about it and is trying to shield his son from facing the consequences.

To keep his family together

When Henry meets his father in the prison, he sobs and asks him if he doesn't love his mom anymore. Since the very beginning, Henry wants one thing and that is: To keep his family together. To go back to normal. Did Henry plan to remove Elena out of the picture so her mother would have never found about his dad's infidelity.

Always on the news

Since the very beginning, Henry has always been seen following the news updates closely. In all the episodes, he keeps a track of who the cops are following and even gets extremely tense or worried when it comes on to his mother or father. In fact, even at school, his headmaster and teachers keep a close lookout on him.

Henry and Jonathan plotted it

One Reddit user noted: "A note or something small was passed between Henry and Jonathan at the prison. Henry noticed the other couple hug and the male prisoner get immediately taken away by a guard. The camera lingered on that as well as Henry's reaction for a long time. Then, when Henry and Jonathan locked hands, it was a long embrace and the guard took Jonathan away without checking. Jonathan's hand was still clenched in a fist when he got up and left. Henry passed something to Jonathan there. I don't necessarily subscribe to the Henry committed the murder theory but if he did, he may have written something of a confession to Jonathan and passed it along. Watch the scene again, it's all very suspicious."

What was he looking for in his bedroom?

Another Reddit fan feels: "So do we think the reason Henry tossed his own bedroom was that he was looking for this thing he may (or may not have, because I didn't see anything and I watched it a few times) have given his father in the visitation room of the jail? Would make sense because the bag was clearly hidden (as he had to toss a whole bunch of clothes out of the closet to get at the bag) and once strewn on the bed appeared to be personal items, particularly stopping on the photo of his dad, which was in a rather thick frame."

In the upcoming episodes, the weapon — which is still missing — could be found hidden somewhere close to Henry because he is the only one who hasn't been interrogated or searched. If Henry is not the killer, could someone have planted it there? Is Henry trying to protect someone? Well, only time will tell once the sixth and final episode rolls out.

‘The Undoing’ premiered on HBO on October 25, 2020, and more episodes in the six-episodic series will air every Sunday from 9 pm ET to 10 pm ET.
