'The Undoing', after its intriguing first episode has left us wondering if Jonathan Fraser (Hugh Grant) is really behind the murder of Elena Alves (Matilda De Angelis). Elena, a fellow parent who is a part of a committee that Grace Fraser is part of, is not the usual parent that Grace (Nicole Kidman) or her parents had met.

She is from a part of town that Grace nor Jonathan understand, considering how privileged they are as a white, affluent family living in Upper East Side, New York. So initially, when Elena attempts to breastfeed her, the other women assume that Elena wanted to prove to herself that she belongs at that table and this was her route towards achieving that.

Grace had been kind at that point and despite being judgemental about Elena when she conversed with her husband, she tries to not be rude in front of Elena. In fact, even when Elena throws her off by appearing naked in front of her at the gym locker room, Grace holds her thoughts and attempts to not seem uncomfortable as Elena thanks her for being kind to her. It is strange that Elena would hold on to Grace citing her kindness but is it just Grace that interests Elena?

At the auction that Elena helped organize, Grace arrives with her husband Jonathan, and from the moment that Elena sees Grace, she stares at her. In fact, the other parents who are a part of the committee also comment on this and this makes Grace curious. So when Elena steps out to get herself together in the washroom, she follows in and sees Elena break down.

She helps her calm down and even walks her out of the auction. Before Elena bids goodbye, she plants a soft kiss and leaves Grace extremely confused. The next time, Grace hears about Elena, it is when the school messaging board informs the parents about the death of a Reardon student's parent. She gets a call from another mother who calls to tell her the details about how Elena was found by her son in her studio.

This shocks her. She attempts to reach her husband right away, however, Jonathan is unreachable. She believes his excuse, that he is in fact at an Oncology conference in Cleveland. However, when she doesn't receive a callback, she worries and begins dialing all the Hilton hotels in Cleveland to check on him. When she does finally reach one Mr Fraser, the call is answered by a woman.

This, of course, shocks her even further, but when the man in question does come online, Grace realizes that he isn't her husband. So where is he and did he really kill Elena? If he did, how is he connected to her? Or is he even connected to the murder?

One of the intriguing fan theories suggests that Jonathan might turn out to be a liar and a cheat but that he might not really be the murderer. This investigation might wreak through his privacy but the real murderer might be someone unexpected, like Jonathan and Grace's son Henry Fraser (Noah Jupe).

This fan explained, "I think it may be Johnathan and Grace’s son. Little clues about him growing up in a bubble and not being able to handle the world. Right after one of the looks at the murder scene they cut to him directly playing with legos. He was very inquisitive about what kind of person she was. He’s keeping tabs from afar. That’s what a lot of psychopaths do or sociopaths do, forget the difference."

The fan added, "Plus it was never mentioned where he was that night. Showing her as a child in the opening credits may be them saying a child has done it but not necessarily Grace. I think he may have found out his dad was having an affair with her and lost it and couldn’t cope so he killed her."

New episodes of 'The Undoing' air every Sunday at 9 pm ET on HBO.
