'The Titan Games': With the Dwayne Johnson show ranking #1 on ratings, here is why we deserve a Season 3

Season 2 of 'The Titan Games' has been nothing short of a breathless rollercoaster. Hosted by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, we've seen a plethora of new talented participants, battling each other in exhausting tasks before taking on Johnson's handpicked Titans on Mount Olympus. Ironically, The Rock's Titans haven't had much luck this season, apart from NFL great Joe Thomas.

The participants unseated the Titans and cemented their position as reigning Titans. At the Central Region, Matt Chan got his chance to defeat Thomas finally in the finals and became a Titan.  While Chantae McMillan seemed to have the upper hand as Titan after winning against boxer Claressa Shields, Dani Speegle defeated her squarely and became the new champion.

The Western region was intoxicating, as Noah Palicia steamrolled over Victor Cruz after defeating his own brother Eric at the epic 'Herculean Pull' task. Noah maintained his position as Titan, even though there were other participants who tried to give him tough competition. Margaux Alvarez was the Western Regional female champion, and she held on to her position for all she's worth. Currently, the Eastern region finals will take place, and it remains to be seen if Will Sutton and Haley Johnson can remain Titans.

So it comes as no surprise that 'The Titan Games' is Number 1 on ratings. Dwayne Johnson announced this proudly on Instagram. "Quite the win streak — thank you all so much for tuning in. @nbctitangames has been TV’s #1 show every Monday night this entire summer. This one's been a pleasure to produce and craft compelling storytelling around our athletes. Quality human beings who come from all walks of life to take a shot at greatness. Congratulations to our network partners at @NBC and everyone who’s given their time and talents to our show. We all share in this success, but still, much work to be done," he wrote.

No doubt, we deserve a Season 3 of the show! Here are all the reasons why:

New and exciting challenges

Season 2 of 'The Titan Games' introduced us to exciting challenges such as 'Lunar Impact', 'Herculean Pull', 'Chain Linked', 'Kick Out', 'Nuts N Bolts', where the participants battle one another before going head-to-head with the Titans at Mount Olympus. It will be exciting to see what new challenges Johnson can introduce in Season 3.

One of the best parts about 'The Titan Games' is seeing Dwayne Johnson boost the participants' confidence and morale, especially when they find it hard to plow on. Johnson has a powerful presence on the show and there's no doubt we'll like to see him host the show in Season 3!

Better Titans

While all the battles have been grueling and scintillating, the handpicked Titans haven't had much of a chance to prove themselves. Hopefully, in the next season, Johnson's Titans put up a tougher fight against the participants and that will just amp up the intrigue and suspense on the show.

Iconic commentary by Cari Champion and Alex Mendez

Let's be honest, the fun commentary by Cari Champion and Alex Mendez adds to the fun of the evening, as they engage in verbal jousting with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.

Participant stories

'The Titan Games' (NBC / Steve Dietl)

Most of the participants on 'The Titan Games' have had powerful motivations to join the show. Some have battled injuries, others have lost their parents and this has just propelled them forward to take the bull by the horns. The show has gracefully shown the emotions, camaraderie and sportsmanship between participants and this just adds to the fun of watching the show.

Tune into 'The Titan Games' on NBC Mondays at 8 pm.
