'The Talk': Sharon Osbourne shows off her new hair color and reveals Ozzy is undergoing 8-week treatment
On Tuesday’s episode of the Daytime Emmy-winning CBS talk show ‘The Talk’, co-host Sharon Osbourne had something new to show off.
Osbourne revealed her new hair color. After having dyed it red for almost 18 years, she had now changed it to platinum. Jokingly, Osbourne told her co-hosts Sheryl Underwood, rapper Eve, Carrie Ann Inaba and Marie Osmond, “It must have been a slow news day for people to talk about my hair.”
While Underwood commented, “I can call you silver fox now,” Osmond asked the pertinent question: “What did Ozzy [Osbourne] say?” She told the co-hosts what her husband, the iconic heavy metal musician, told her: “He says, the Devil wears Prada!”
Explaining why she changed the color, Osbourne said, “I was just so fed up of going, having it dyed and having it dyed, and I can’t do this anymore. I’m like why am I trying to do this or be something that I’m not? So, just be who you are,” adding, “Jane Fonda, Helen Mirren -- and I’m like look how elegant they look and I’m like, okay, I don’t say I’m going to stop the surgery, just change my hair.”
But the Ozzy talk was far from over. Osbourne spoke about Ozzy’s recent North American tour cancellation and future medical treatment for Parkinson’s disease. Ozzy canceled the North American dates of his 2020 'No More Tours 2' to deal with the disease. "I'm so thankful that everyone has been patient because I've had a s**t year," Osbourne said in a statement. "Unfortunately, I won't be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six-eight weeks."
“We spoke to the doctor who Ozzy is going to see in Switzerland. And he looked at Ozzy's itinerary, and he said, you know you're going to be here a while. And we're like, yeah, two weeks, that's fine. And he's like, no, maybe up to eight. And so, I’m like okay, cancel that. The treatment that he has builds up and builds up, he can’t just do it and leave. So we have to stay there for a while.”
Osbourne added, on the fans' reactions, “I went online and I thought, oh lord, he’s going to get so much flack for doing this again and again, and again. And those fans are behind him.”
‘The Talk’ airs Monday through Friday at 11 am PT.
