'The Simpsons' Season 32 Episode 1: Mr Burns gets his own Iron Man gallery of David Harbour suits

Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) and Mr Burns (Harry Shearer) might not have a lot in common, but one thing they do have is that they're both obscenely rich and when you're that rich, nothing but the best will do. While Tony Stark may have his own gallery of high-tech supersuits for his alter-ego, Iron Man, Montgomery Burns has decided to go for something a little more low-key than a superhero costume — he's got a collection of David Harbours.

In the latest episode of 'The Simpsons' titled 'Undercover Burns', Montgomery Burns finds out that he is not the beloved boss he somehow always assumed he was. So he goes undercover among his employees to discover what they really think of him. To do this, he hires a team of experts to design him an all-new exosuit that takes the form of an average worker named Fred Kranepool — one voiced by special guest star David Harbour. In honor of the 'Stranger Things' star's guest appearance, the show's animators designed Mr Burns' suit to look a lot like Harbour himself.

Over the episode, Mr Burns finds that his new guise is welcomed by his "fellow" employees, and for the first time in his life, Mr Burns feels like he has friends. He enjoys the experience so much he begins to prefer his time as Fred until a concerned Smithers (Harry Shearer) decides to reveal to Homer Simpson (Dan Castellaneta) Fred's true identity. For the good of the plant, Homer tells Fred that they can't be friends anymore and Mr Burns does not take that well. He has an extended battle with his Fred suit, as Fred tells Mr Burns he's the last remaining piece of goodness left in Burns. This is revealed to be a hallucination and Mr Burns ultimately decides to throw the Fred suit into a vat of acid.

However, it turns out that Mr Burns isn't ready to leave his life as Fred behind entirely as the show's closing scene shows Mr Burns step into another Fred suit, aided by machines in a montage quite similar to the way Tony Stark puts on his Iron Man costume. There, Mr Burns activates his karaoke function and it's revealed that he owns a whole Tony Stark-like gallery of Fred suits for different occasions — all of them looking like David Harbour.

'The Simpsons' airs on Sundays at 8 pm ET on FOX.
