'The Rhythm Section': Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about Blake Lively's espionage movie
'The Rhythm Section', a British-American film, is an espionage thriller based on the book of the same name authored by Mark Burnell. The film was initially expected to be released on February 22, however, due to Blake Lively, the lead actor's shoulder injury, the film was pushed to November 22 and now to January 31, 2020.

'The Rhythm Section' is slated to release in the U.S. on January 31, 2020, and in the U.K. on February 21, 2020.
Plot:
'The Rhythm Section', based on a novel of the same name, follows the life of one Stephanie Patrick who is out to find the truth about a plane crash that killed her family. In the international espionage thriller, Patrick discovers it is not an accidental plane crash. To find the truth, Patrick assumes the identity of an assassin and embarks on a journey that makes the central plot of the film.

Blake Lively plays the lead role of Stephanie Patrick in the film and is set on a path for revenge for the death of her family in a plane bombing that was cloaked as an accident. She assumes the identity of an assassin, seeks the help of a mysterious man and gets trained to take on the people who caused the bombing in the first place.
Jude Law and Sterling K Brown
Jude Law plays the role of the mysterious man that Stephanie seeks out to help her. In the trailer and officially, his character's details and that of Sterling K. Brown's, have not been revealed so far. However, from the looks of the trailer, both the men seem to play an important role in Stephanie's journey of seeking vengeance.
Director-Writer:
The film is directed by Reed Morano, an Emmy-award winning director who is well-known for directing the first three episodes of Hulu's hit show 'The Handmaid's Tale'. Morano started off as a cinematographer and was, in fact, the youngest member of the American Society of Cinematographers when she joined in 2013. Her directorial debut was 'Meadowland' starring Luke Wilson and Olivia Wilde. The film is written by the author of the book, Mark Burnell.
Trailer:
The trailer released September 19 featured Lively as Stephanie Patrick out for revenge once she learns the plane crash wasn't an accident, but that there was a bomb inside the plane. We see her go seek out the help of a mysterious man who tells her that even if she succeeds, it wouldn't be worth it.
This man's role if played by Jude Law. We also see Sterling K. Brown meet up with her and tell her "You are much more human than I thought you would be". We see Patrick kill a few, fight many and struggle through grieving her lost family and that is the tone set by the thriller.
