When you're having fun, time flies and Marlo Hampton's fun involves looking after her two nephews, Michael and William. Last season, viewers of Bravo's 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta' noted several changes in the cast. The addition of Marlo Hampton's nephews sparked a good conversation.

The two boys have been living with their "munty" for the past two years, and their presence has been noted and appreciated by program viewers. The boys were seen spending time with their aunt, Marlo, on the most recent season of 'RHOA.' The boys have been quite a delight for the viewers as they bring a wonderful addition to Marlo's family. From getting ready for school in the morning to dolling up for Marlo's gala at night, Marlo and the boys make quite a team. Marlo helped one of her nephews, Michael, prepare for his homecoming dance on the recent episode of 'RHOA.'

Marlo Hampton and her nephew, Michael in 'RHOA' Season 14, episode 2 (Bravo)

Why do Marlo's nephews live with her?

For her sister, Marlo Hampton took her nephews in. Take a peek at Marlo's Instagram to see how long she's been looking after her nephews. While Marlo hasn't explained why she took custody of her sister's kids on the show (rightfully), Madame Noire reports that their mom was hospitalized for a long time. Marlo's sister has schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and is currently undergoing therapy at a mental health center. Marlo cheerfully took in her two nephews, Michael and William, while their mother recovered.

Marlo has been caring for her nephews, nurturing them, and getting a taste of motherhood while their mother is through treatment. By far this season, we've watched her accompany the boys to the opening of her showroom, Le' Archive, get the boys ready for school, and, most recently, teach Michael how to dance to music for his upcoming homecoming dance. Not only that, but she also seeks parenting guidance from fellow castmate Kandi Burruss. She keeps urging Kandi to get their families together, so the kids can catch up. When she questions her guardian authority, she seeks Kandi's advice. She is apprehensive about spoiling her nephews too much, or, in her words, "turning them into a monster," as much as she wants to lavish them with all the love and attention she can. Kandi, on the other hand, had a different approach to this. She discusses her feelings about black parents and how she despises the term "struggle" being used to describe their community. She describes how she wants her children to succeed in life without having to question whether they are deserving.

Not only do fans appreciate Kadi's advice but also respect what Marlo has been doing for her nephews. Marlo was also shown opening up to Kandi about her upbringing, including her time in foster care and her desire to provide a different, more stable childhood for her nephews than she had had. Fans are overjoyed that she now has the freedom to share more of her life, and many took to Twitter to express their delight: "Hearing Marlo opening up about her past, being in foster care and wanting to give her nephews a different, more stable upbringing than she had really got me. I’m so glad she has the space to share more of her life now #RHOA"

Another Twitter user wrote: "I love how Marlo is truly leaning into the parental figure and crushing it #RHOA"

A fan also appreciated her vibe at home, saying: "Marlo’s home scenes are too cute. She’s her best self in front of her nephews! #RHOA"
