'The Real Dirty Dancing': Brie Bella and Antonio Gates elimination upsets fans, say 'deserve to win'

'The Real Dirty Dancing' fans were far from pleased with Brie and Antonio's elimination from FOX's dance competition show

In a bid to be the new Baby and Johnny from the 1960s cult-favorite film 'The Dirty Dancing', eight brave celebrities signed up for FOX's special-themed dance competition. The eight celebrities had little to no background experience of dancing, but that didn't stop them from trying their very best to recreate the signature dance moves of Baby and Johnny.

Following the elimination of talk show host Loni Love and former Backstreet Boy Howie Dorough during the last week's episode, the competition amongst the remaining six celebrities was at a cut-throat level. The celebrities paired up into three pairs featuring Tyler Cameron and Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, Cat Cora and Corbin Bleu, and Brie Bella and Antonio Gates. All the three pairs practiced really hard for their semi-finals performance in order to earn a spot to compete in the finale and hopefully take home the coveted title. Despite their best efforts, unfortunately, Brie and Antonio were eliminated from the competition

'The Real Dirty Dancing': Cat Cora and Tyler Cameron crowned Baby and Johnny

The WWE champion and NFL champion's elimination left fans feeling upset. Several fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure over their favorite celebrity duo's elimination from the show. A fan tweeted, "NOT BRIE BEING ELIMINATED OMG NO #TheRealDirtyDancing." Another fan wrote, "Nooo! Sucks that Brie & Antonio are leaving! #TheRealDirtyDancing." "Nooooooo! They were my favorite & totally saw them in the finals! You guys killed it tonight & have opened up so much since the beginning! @BellaTwins @AntonioGates85 #TheRealDirtyDancing," expressed a fan.

Another fan shared, "So sad to see you go brie we are so proud of you!!! #therealdirtydancing @BellaTwins." "Damn it! @BellaTwins my queen Brie deserves to be there. She deserves to win. Well, I'm not watching anymore so bye bye! I love you B! You did great baby! You should be proud of yourself! I am proud of you! It should be the ones with the less dance experience #therealdirtydancing," commented a fan. "So sad to see @BellaTwins leave #TheRealDirtyDancing but I’ve never been more proud of her. Love seeing her take risks and show the world a whole new side of Brie Bella ," added a fan.

Brie and Antonio's elimination from the dance competition left Tyler- Anjelah, and Corbin- Cat, to compete in the finale of 'The Real Dirty Dancing' and one of them will be the new Baby and johnny. We can't wait to see who takes home the title on the upcoming finale of the FOX show.

'The Real Dirty Dancing' finale airs on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 9/8c on FOX.
