Early on in Season 3, Queen Gwynn (Imogen Waterhouse) sends Tobin (Aaron Fontaine) to Aegisford to gather troops. Fearing loss of control of the Outpost to the Blackbloods, this desperate attempt by Gwynn is a way for her to re-establish her stronghold. However, the mission is intercepted by Zed (Reece Ritchie), who now has the place under his control. Zed sends a Lu-Qiri to hunt Tobin down and nip this so-called rebellion in the bud. Tobin, along with Munt (Adam Johnson), however, manages to escape and arrive at the gates of Aegisford, where they are met with their trusted allies.

As it turns out, much to Tobin's surprise, Munt is a regular here and has more admirers here than back home. Together, they are charged with the responsibility of bringing back men and gather allies to bring the Blackbloods down, but it might not be all that easy. In the upcoming episode of Season 3 of 'The Outpost', titled 'The Key to Paradise', Tobin might have arrived to gather troops, but will he return empty-handed?

According to the official synopsis of the episode, "As Talon (Jessica Green) presses for answers, Yavalla (Jaye Griffiths) recruits Gwynn for her cause; reunited with a past love, Tobin faces a difficult choice; Zed's loyalty is tested."

When Tobin had arrived at the Gallwood Outpost, he had bragged about lovers and women and wine. So it is hardly a surprise that he should meet someone back home. But now it looks like one of his exes is going to cause him trouble. It's important that he returns with an army because Yavalla is threatening to take control of the Outpost and all the people it currently houses — which is not a lot owing to the evacuation. But for Gwynn, he is her only hope.

Yavalla, who had gained a 'kinj' at the end of the previous episode, is a looming danger on Gallwood and all its people. While we're not entirely sure of the powers it holds, some think she can form a cluster of people while others think she can influence people's decisions, it sure doesn't look like the power is in good hands. Yavalla might have arrived from the Plane of Ashes all high and mighty but she has slowly revealed her true colors.

What happens next? 'The Outpost' airs Thursdays, 9:00-10:00 pm ET on The CW.
