'Legacies' Season 1: There's more to The Necromancer than meets the eye

The Necromancer betrayed Hope and left her to lose her mind in his subconscious, but he actually gave her something no one else could — closure

'The Vampire Diaries' universe is known to have some of the most layered characters on television, so much so that even their villains are often just misunderstood blessings in disguise. Take The Necromancer (Ben Geurens) for example. A recent addition to 'The Originals' spin-off 'Legacies', he appeared out of the blue in the graveyard in Mystic Falls and appeared to cause havoc as soon as he could get any screen time. He betrayed Hope and left her to lose her mind in his subconscious, but he actually gave her something no one else could — closure.
