STRETTON, QUEENSLAND: Wenhao 'Sam' Du, 20, and his mother Jifeng 'Eileen' Liu, 47, were allegedly butchered by a man, identified as Wei Feng 'Jack' Huang, 49, at their home in Brisbane's south. The man, who was Jifeng’s boyfriend, has been charged with two counts of murder over the alleged “frenzied attack” with a kitchen knife and a meat cleaver.

According to DailyMail, police said the mother-son duo was murdered in the early hours of August 15 at their two-story house on Coolidge Court after Wei called 000. Wei bought Bann Thai Fusion, a small restaurant on Caxton Street in inner-city Brisbane, with Jifeng. As per the latest DailyMail report, police allege that Wei murdered the two, changed his clothes, and fled the scene at 4:22 am. He, then, returned after half an hour and dialed 000 at about 9.45 am. Wei gave access to the police to the house where they discovered the bodies of the mother and the son at the top of a bloodied staircase.

As per News.com.au, Brisbane Region Detective Superintendent Andrew Massingham said officers were confronted by “large amounts of blood” on the staircase of the property at Coolidge Street when they arrived at the residence around 9.40 am and called the scene "traumatic" due to the pool of blood. Andrew said, "The scene was confronting, it has been described as a frenzied attack on the two deceased persons. From the evidence within that area, the weapons seized and the observations of the deceased, it was quite evident the attack could be described accurately in that way."

The detective added that there had been no prior calls to police from that location and said, as per ABC, "I can also confirm that the [alleged] weapons that were located yesterday that were described as two bladed weapons are in fact a long-handled kitchen knife and a meat cleaver."

Wei, who had cuts on his arms and legs, was taken to the hospital for treatment and will later be taken for forensic investigation. As of now, the case will return to court on September 19, as per ABC.
