'The Masked Singer' Season 2 returned on Wednesday night for a brand new episode after a week-long hiatus. This week four masked celebrities battled it out in two epic face-offs, and sadly one singer was sent home.

Judges, Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, and Jenny McCarthy returned to their panel along with comedian and actor Joel McHale returning to the panel as a guest judge.

Four masked celebrities battled it out in two face-offs on Wednesday night. The first face-off was between the Butterfly and the Fox. The winner of the face-off was the Fox, which left the Butterfly in danger of getting eliminated.

The second face-off was between the Thingamajig and the Tree. The Tree emerged as the winner of the second face-off, which left the Thingamajig fighting for redemption. It was a shocking decision, but the Thingamajig was surely not going down without a fight.

In the Smackdown, the Butterfly performed her version of 'Believer' by the Imagine Dragons and the Thingamajig performed his version of 'Caught Up' by Usher.

The two definitely came to battle as Nick Cannon had to separate them from the stage. The winner of the Smackdown was the Thingamajig, which meant that the Butterfly was the masked celebrity going home on Wednesday night.

The final guesses were Michelle Williams, Victoria Beckham and Mel B. Unmasked the Butterfly revealed herself, and it was one amongst the biggest reveal yet this season. It was none other than the famed singer Michelle Williams, who was on a hiatus for a year. She shared that being on The Masked Singer helped her rebuild her confidence.

After the episode, fans took to Twitter, claiming they called it weeks ago, and they knew it was Michelle Williams all along. "Butterfly was Destiny's Child's own Michelle Williams -- I think I called that WEEKS ago! #TheMaskedSinger," a fan shared.

"I knew the butterfly was Michelle #TheMaskedSinger," wrote a fan. While another shared, "WE BEEN KNEW WHO THE BUTTERFLY WAS! MICHELLE’S MIC IS ALWAYS ON, BITCH! #TheMaskedSinger."
