The Rottweiler is the runner up in season 2 of 'The Masked Singer', and unmasked, he was none other than Chris Daughtry and fans claim they knew it right from the start.

'The Masked Singer' season 2 reached its end, and tonight the series aired with a two-hour event.  The finale kicked off with the first hour dedicated to never before seen footage of all the masked celebrities this season. We also got to see the judges' comments on the finalists this season and who they think has the highest chance of winning.

The final three masked celebrities who made it all the way through were the Fox, the Flamingo, and the Rottweiler. They took to center stage and performed for one last time vying for the Golden Mask. All three masked celebrities were frontrunners right from the start of this season.

For his performance, the Rottweiler sang his rendition of 'Alive' by Sia and it showed off his vocal abilities. His range and powerful vocals had the judges and audience cheering for him. But sadly, he didn't win. The Rottweiler received the second least amount of votes.

For their final clues, the judges predicted that it might be Darren Criss, Jason Mraz or Dave Franco. But unmasked, the Rottweiler was none other than Daughtry and the judges were shocked because none of them got it right.

Though the judges got it wrong, fans claim they knew it for weeks. Taking to Twitter a fan wrote, "@CHRIS_Daughtry you really deserved that win! I almost cried when the mask came off. I KNEW it was you. #TheMaskedSinger." Adding to that another shared, "I KNEW IT! I KNEW THE ROTT WAS @CHRIS_Daughtry!!!!! SAID IT SINCE EPISODE 1! YOU KILLED IT! *silently screaming while flailing arms and scaring my cat* @MaskedSingerFOX #TheMaskedSinger #RottweilerMask."

"CHRIS_Daughtry Congratulations on getting 2nd place on #TheMaskedSinger I knew you were the Rottweiler from the beginning I recongized the voice , such a great talent ! I loved every performance . Singing alive by sia was just unbelievable," a fan shared. While another wrote, "I was pretty sure the Rottweiler was Chris Daughtry the first time he sang. I can't believe that none of the judges guessed it the entire season! #TheMaskedSinger."
