Adding a palette of colors and merriment to 'The Marvelous Mrs Maisel', Episode 3 marked an eventful turn as Midge (Rachel Brosnahan) headed out on tour with Shy Baldwin. The first destination was Las Vegas and everyone seemed to be in high spirits. But, one talking point from the episode was Susie's (Alex Borstein) newfound allegiance to Sophie Lennon (Jane Lynch).

The 52-minute episode begins with Susie's meeting with her new client, who demands a new Broadway stint. When she looks at Susie's shocked reaction, she quizzes her, "Do you not believe in me?" She also commands her to "prioritize her over everyone else." At that instant, Susie transforms into a shrewd, clever businesswoman from an honest manager when she repeats the same line she told Midge: "Look, you're always going to be my number one."

Her close friendship with Midge is a catalyst to be true to her words whereas, with Sophie, it is just professionalism. One fan predicted earlier on Reddit, "Susie is clearly committed and as things go on she'll get more connections and learn the ropes better, but at the moment she can't, on her own, get Sophie Lennon booked at the kind of gigs she's used to doing.

"But she probably doesn't need to because Sophie Lennon is a national brand at this point; she probably has bookers coming to her."

"All Sophie needs is someone literate to mechanically handle the paperwork. Susie can absolutely do that just fine — she'd hate it and it'd stunt her own professional growth, of course, but for Sophie, maybe that's the point, plus it takes her away from Midge (with whom she's growing up professionally). And Midge at this point needs someone like Susie to advocate for her and sell her — she's not a big enough deal that she just sells herself yet, and probably won't be for some time."

"So by hiring Susie, Sophie can both seriously hamper Midge's career while also making Susie miserable and keeping her from developing to where she can help Midge even more once she gives up and quits," he continues. The reason seems quite logical and it might be the path the show may take in the future. Don't you think so? Only time will tell if her loyalty for the two rivals clash and ruin her reputation.
