The first season of 'The Mandalorian' ended on a high note with some revelations that had been carefully hidden from viewers till now. The finale episode was an action-packed one, with humor, pain, sacrifice, and fear embedded into it like gems, just right for a 'Star Wars' fan.

In the end, Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito), emerges from the ruins of a TIE fighter with a darksaber in his hand, leaving frenzied fans to speculate on what's going to happen in the next season.

However, this wasn't the only highlight of the episode. We got to see the Mandalorian's (Pedro Pascal) face and hear his traumatic backstory. For starters, his real name is Din Djarin and he was not born on Mandalore.

In flashbacks, we see how his parents rushed to protect him from invading droids on his home planet, which was destroyed. Just as one was about to kill him, he is rescued by a team of Mandalorians, who raised him and brought him up as their own.

The Mandalorians are not a race, it is revealed. They're a creed, as Cara and Mando say. Cara explains that being a Mandalorian isn't being part of a certain species, or a certain race, but to follow a particular way of life.

Meanwhile, Cara belongs to the planet of Alderaan. Sounds familiar? It is because it is Leia Organa's home planet that was destroyed in 'Star Wars: A New Hope', which helps us understand her fury towards the Empire.

Disney+'s 'The Mandalorian' proved that the 'Star Wars' galaxy is limitless and the creative possibilities to weave and produce compelling origin backstories are endless.

For those fans who were distraught over 'The Rise Of Skywalker' which hit the theatre a few weeks ago, 'The Mandalorian' shows promise for a new franchise and more enriching stories. In fact, there are more storylines that are yet to discovered.
