After a run of what felt like filler episodes, the fans are once again excited for 'The Mandalorian' as Season 1 Episode 7 brought fan-favorite characters back and ends on a cliffhanger that promises one heck of a battle to come in the season's finale.

In the light of the leaks for 'The Rise of Skywalker' drawing enough online derision to get #jjabramsisoverparty trending on Twitter, fans are comforted that one 'Star Wars' live-action property isn't letting them down.

"Wow... #ChapterSeven. Back onboard the Mandalorian train," said a user on Twitter, with the seventh episode of 'The Mandalorian' proving thrilling enough to get them back on board with the series. 'I know it’s almost 4 in the morning, but I just finished the newest #Mandalorian. Every episode that people have called filler have fully been justified in my eyes now. This show is beautiful and I can’t wait to discuss it with more people," shares a tweet, celebrating the return of characters like Kuuil (Nick Nolte), Cara Dune (Gina Carano) and IG-11 (Taika Waititi). The episode's end had audiences on the edge of their seats, as the earlier release date for this episode means that fans must now wait a whole 9 days before the next episode airs. "Thats the cliff hanger you leave us on?! only 35 min?! damn you Mandalorian for being so good," jokes a fan

Releasing just the day before 'Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker' and containing a special sneak peek for the movie, many fans feel like the show's quality makes up for what they have already determined will be a terrible movie. "They planned the Mandalorian to come out the night of the tros review embargo to be an olive branch to the star wars community," comments one tweet. Another Twitter user claims that the episode was good enough to replace all anticipation for the movie entirely, saying, "The Mandalorian has me so on edge that I somehow genuinely don’t care about what happened in TROS LMAO."

With only one episode to go, the fandom is gearing up for what promises to be an impressive season finale.

The next episode of 'The Mandalorian' airs December 27, on Disney+
