'The Mandalorian' Preview: Episode 3 may probably delve into relationship between bounty hunter and baby Yoda

The one thing that comes to mind is the Luke Skywalker-Yoda equation, except, there is a bit of role reversal here with Manadalorian being the main man and doubling up as the child's protector

'The Mandalorian' has been off to an impressive start and the series is well on its way to become another masterpiece. The second episode, 'A Child' saw the Mandalorian (Pedro Pascal) and baby Yoda stranded in the planet. The plan is to jet off before the other bounty hunters continue to seek the child out. This proves difficult as Jawas have stripped his ship for parts. With the help of Kuiil (Nick Nolte), the Mandalorian negotiates the return of his parts in return for retrieving an egg, requiring him to battle a large beast. One that also sees the tot use its powers.

At this stage, it is safe to speculate that the couple of upcoming episode will better explore the relationship between the duo as their travails will surely see them encounter more obstacles along the way. The one thing that comes to mind is the Luke Skywalker-Yoda equation, except, there is a bit of role reversal here with Manadalorian being the guiding light and doubling up as the child's protector. Nostalgia has been one of the themes that's observed in Episodes 1 and 2 and the upcoming chapter is sure to have some fleeting references as well.

In our review of Episode 2, we had written that this is an episode best enjoyed in it's piecemeal-type treatment. It's pretty obvious the show sticks to the same treatment and while much of the details about every episode is a close-guarded secret, there's just enough material about to speculate on what to expect. For starters, the Mandalorian is surely not going to let the baby be killed. The connection has been established in Episode 1 and we can assume one of his missions is to ensure the baby stays safe from any imminent attacks.

And like we mentioned above, relationship is sure to take center stage in the upcoming episode, until then, the subplots is just anyone's guess.

The next episode of ‘The Mandalorian’ airs November 22 on Disney+.
