'The Man of God', Netflix's newest Nigerian original feature film, is set to drop on the streaming platform on Saturday, April 16. The movie recounts the story of a young man torn between embracing his terrible religious heritage and living his own life. Directed by Bolanle Austen-Peters, the movie stars Akah Nnani in the lead role. The teaser reveals the character's whirlwind path from music to ministry before it all comes crashing down. With its undertones of extreme drama and murder, the film will finally provide subscribers with something worth watching, according to Austen-Peters.

Samuel (Akah Nnani) flees his strict religious home to pursue a life of his own choosing. What happens when his spirit is stuck between his new surroundings and the life he abandoned? Discover the answer in this ode to Nollywood, which will be available on Netflix in April. Fans can rejoice since this will certainly not be the last from Netflix, as the streaming giant has announced that they would increase production on African projects.

Osas Ighodaro

Osas Ighodaro is an actor, humanitarian, producer, and host. Among her numerous projects, Osas is most recognized for her work in 'Meet the Browns,' 'Cadillac Records', 'Fela and the Kalakuta Queens', 'Smart Money Woman', and 'Rattlesnake'. Atlanta Bridget Johnson plays the role of Joy in the film as well.
