When is ‘The Longest Night’ releasing and where can you watch it?

Spanish crime-thriller miniseries ‘The Longest Night’ is releasing globally on July 8, 2022, on Netflix at 3.01 am EST.

What is ‘The Longest Night’ all about?

The teaser of the series starts with a man that constantly stares at the clock in a psychiatric prison. The first text to appear in the teaser says "One night" followed by a countdown that begins at eight hours for all the characters.

We also see additional series of texts that give brief sneak peeks at all the main characters who get locked into the psychiatric prison. They get totally cut off from the outside world with no technological gadgets and means to communicate with people from outside world.

The only chill-inducing dialogue comes at the end where a character is seen saying, “It's going to be a long night, Hugo”.

The official synopsis reads, “Armed men surround a psychiatric prison and cut off all communications. Their purpose: to capture serial killer Simón Lago. Six episodes. One night”.

Who stars in ‘The Longest Night’?

Alberto Ammann as Hugo Roca

Argentinian star Alberto Ammann, 43, is best known for his performance as Pacho Herrera in hit Netflix series ‘Narcos’ and ‘Narcos: Mexico’. He has acted in films, television and theater throughout his illustrious career. He has also given some amazing performances in Spanish films like ‘Cell 211’, ‘Lope’, and so on. He has also acted in National Geographic miniseries ‘Mars’. He has also acted in the Netflix series, ‘Apaches’. Alberto will be seen playing the lead role of Hugo in ‘The Longest Night’.



 

The other actors in ‘The Longest Night’ include Luis Callejo, Fran Berenguer, David Solans, Cesar Mateo and several others.

The six episodic Spanish crime-thriller miniseries is directed by Oscar Pedraza. The script of the series is written by Xosé Moraisa and Victoriano Sierra Ferreiro.
