'The Last Dance' was one of the most-awaited docuseries of 2020 and fans couldn't contain their excitement when it debuted on ESPN on Sunday. The 10-episode series traces Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls 1997-98 season with some unseen, rare footage. "Insane" was the keyword of the evening as fans took to Twitter to express their excitement and the major highlight was manager Jerry Krause and his relationship with head coach Phil Jackson.

"#TheLastDance story about the biggest athlete ever @chicagobulls," a fan wrote. This was seconded by a fan who tweeted: "This behind the scenes footage is already insane. #TheLastDance." Another said: "Kids nowadays say 'Lebron played for 9 straight finals' so he’s the goat. Lebron is great and I’m glad he’s a Laker BUT... MJ in a seven-season span that he played... won 6. That’s way more impressive in my eyes. #TheLastDance."

"If Jordan didn't retire for 18 months, and Jerry Krause didn't have an ego... This Bulls team would've won 10 straight titles at least!! #TheLastDance #nootherchampionshipteamwouldveeverbeatthisgroup" tweeted one of the viewers. Speaking of Krause, the team's manager with one of those controversial reputations, one said, "Jerry Krause was a really good scout and GM....but man, a big egomaniac....#TheLastDance."

"Krause is a fool if I was him Jackson would’ve had a lifetime contract to coach the Bulls #TheLastDance," felt another.

"I remembered they called Jerry Krause 'Crumbs' #TheLastDance," recollected a fan. "Jerry look uncomfortable talking about Phil contract renewal. Having a hard time swallowing that ego pill #TheLastDance," added one more. Some major hate tweets towards the infamous manager include: "Jerry Krause = moron #TheLastDance", "Kraus ain't: s**t #TheLastDance" and  "#Chicago and the world are reminded Jerry Reinsdorf and Jerry Krause helped destroy the greatest sports dynasty in history."

Here's one from an NBA fan who was reminded of how much he missed the sport when he tuned in to watch 'The Last Dance. "It took all of two minutes of #thelastdance to remind me how much I miss the NBA."

What are your thoughts on Kraus's tenure as the Chicago Bulls manager and his relationship with head coach Phil Jackson?

'The Last Dance' airs on ESPN at 9 pm ET on Sundays.
