This story contains major spoilers for Episode 5 of 'The L Word: Generation Q' titled 'Labels'

When Finley (Jacqueline Toboni) wakes up the next day in Tess' (Jamie Clayton) office, she can barely remember what happened the previous night at Shane's (Katherine Moennig) birthday party.

She remembers that she must apologize to Rebecca (Olivia Thirlby), but can't recall for what. So after curing her hangover with Tess, she pays a visit to Rebecca, who tells her how she hurt her the previous night.

She basically tells Rebecca that she is not a real priest and that makes it okay for them to be together because in Finley's mind, she cannot come to terms with the reality of their situation.

Rebecca wants to be with someone who isn't burdened by her past — "I need to be with someone who is my equal." By that, she says she wishes to be with who is at her own level.

Recognizing that Finley has a lot of issues she must deal with before she gets into a relationship, Rebecca decides it is best that they part ways. "You need to work on your own shit. You have deep wounds," Rebecca tells her.

Overwhelmed because she had genuine feelings for Rebecca, Finley almost breaks down but calls her father first. This is the first time we see Finley have a conversation with someone from her family.

Her father, along with the rest of the family, is at her sister's engagement party. It is evident that Finley had no idea about this get-together. Finley is clearly estranged from her family — her father suddenly hangs up on her as her mother arrives. After the call, Finley breaks down.

Back at the bar, Finley is on bartending duty as Tess and Lena (Mercedes Mason) take a break from their own relationship problems.

A recovering alcoholic, Tess, unfortunately, gets off the wagon to cope with Lena's infidelity. In their drunken stupor, one thing leads to another and they end up having sex.

As Tess and Finley, two of a kind get together, where will this lead to? Finley continues to drown her sorrows and feelings in alcohol, and the problem only keeps worsening.

'The L Word: Generation Q' airs on Sundays at 10/ 9c on Showtime.
