'The Kelly Clarkson Show' returned on NBC for a second season and it's been heartwarming since the word go. Singer-host Kelly Clarkson's show usually has a live audience but NBC's safety guidelines don't allow it, which pushed the production unit to install large screens on the set that had individual users dialing in from every corner of the country. It was a one-of-a-kind setup.

She introduced her audience bit by bit while sharing that the week will be dedicated to musicians and how their creativity can help relax people. While John Legend became her first guest, the fun bits came from Kenny G, DJ Khaled and Nelly, who surprised Kelly with their perfectly-timed video calls. Kelly then joined John in the kitchen to cook up a batch of fried chicken as they talked about 'The Voice,' Chrissy Teigen and other things.

However, the interesting bit came when Kelly decided to open up about her divorce with her husband Brandon Blackstock. They were married for seven years and share four kids. She was quick to point out that even though divorce is hard but the former couple is trying to get through it keeping their kids in mind and how they can be protected.

"We are both from divorced families, so we know the best thing here is to protect our children and their little hearts," she said, adding that she is an open person and loves to share a lot but in this case, she is going to tone it down a notch. "Probably, won't go too far with it because I'm a mama bear and my kids come first. Although, I do love you all."

Meanwhile, fans were left inspired by her bold move to share a part of her story, some sent their prayers while others shared personal accounts on the show's official Facebook page.

One fan recalled, "Been there Done that. Got 2 Tshirts. You are such a strong and beautiful spirit. The kids do come first. I raised my three by myself and only through lots of prayers and tears did I succeed in raising three wonderful humans. My middle daughter was killed in a MVA 7/8/19. The valley is long and deep but God is my comforter. Know that I am praying for you and your children. May God bless you." Another expressed: "Im going through the end of my divorce and I am a mom of two. It is heartbreaking. I completely understand what you are going through. You are so strong and beautiful. Such an idol to me."

"I had no idea you were going through this Kelly. I am so sorry. I know, even if it was a mutual decision it can be very difficult so know that your fans are here...we love and support you and I personally will add you and your little ones to my prayers as you all begin this next new chapter," another shared.
