Spoilers for 'The Idhun Chronicles'

With two untrained teenagers making up half of their roster, the Resistance already had a lot going against them in their fight against the Empire. With their latest battle against Kirtash (Sergio Mur/Johnny Yong Bosch), the Resistance may be at their lowest point ever. However, not all hope is lost, as two major weapons of power and prophecy lie in their grasp while they search for Idhun's last surviving creatures of myth.

The team's final mission to rescue Alsan (Carlos Cuevas/Billy Kametz) ended in tragedy. While the team was able to rescue Alsan, the battle cost them the life of Shail (Nico Romero/Griffin Puatu), who died defending the life of Victoria (Michelle Jenner/Erika Harlacher). To make matters worse, the Resistance was too late to prevent Alsan from being infused with the spirit of a wolf — a necromantic spell that only Ashran has ever been able to master. Now, Alsan battles the invading wolf spirit inside himself — and fearing that he would eventually harm Victoria and Jack (Itzan Escamilla/Griffin Burns), he had Victoria teleport him away to parts unknown.

That's not the end of the story, however — especially as the threat of Ashran and Kirtash hasn't gone away. Kirtash is last seen stalking Victoria, in fact, still determined to make her his Empress. The Resistance has two important weapons up its sleeve, however, and a prophecy to back them up. As a half-magician blessed by a unicorn, Victoria may be one of the few beings alive able to control the Staff of Ayshel — and more importantly, to use it to discover the last surviving unicorn. According to the prophecy, finding the last unicorn, Lunnaris, and the last dragon, Yandrak, will be instrumental to the defeat of Ashran. That only leaves one question — how can Yandrak be found?

The answer may lie in Jack's sword, Domivat. Jack's latent fire-related powers allowed him to be able to touch the dragon-forged sword without being burned. Victoria, with her healing and defensive powers is able to wield the unicorn-finding Staff of Ayshel. So it only stands to reason that the fire-empowered Jack and the Domivat sword will be able to find Yandrak. However, after helping Alsan to leave, Jack and Victoria went their separate ways following an argument. The two are going to have to reconcile before they can fulfill their prophecy, and save the fate of not just Idhun, but of Earth as well.
