It's an election year and the DNC are looking for someone, anyone, who will beat Donald Trump in the presidential election, and they may have found their newest candidate. Adrian Boseman (Delroy Lindo) may be offered the support of the DNC for a presidential campaign though whether it's a sincere offer or a more intricate political move remains to be seen.

In the next episode titled 'The Gang Offends Everyone', we see that Adrian has been visited by the DNC representative and is seen shaking hands with him. He later tells his girlfriend, Judge Charlotte Hazlewood (Tamberla Perry) about it only to be met with immediate laughter, and it's hard not to see where she's coming from. If Adrian has any political ambition that goes beyond his firm, this would be the series' first mention of it. The DNC may be wanting someone without political ties to go up against Trump, given that Trump's own original lack of political experience was seen as a selling point rather than as a failing. Of course, Adrian's political run was only hinted at instead of officially confirmed.

Meanwhile, the investigation into Memo 618 deepens. Having been repeatedly locked out of internet searches, Diane Lockhart (Christine Baranski) is apparently going old school in a search through piles and piles of physical paperwork. Julius Cain (Michael Boatman) is continuing to enjoy fighting back against the memo's oppressive nature, but he might finally be facing consequences for defying its mysterious rule. Last episode ended with Diane inviting Julius to a lunch to discuss the memo, and the next episode is likely to feature the two of them formulating a plan to expose and take down this get-out-of-jail-free card for the ultra-rich.

Julius and Diane aren't the only ones in danger. However, as the promo for the next episode sees Jay DiPersia (Nyambi Nyambi) and Marissa Gold (Sarah Steele) being followed, although as far as those two are concerned, being followed by dangerous individuals just means the two investigators are looking around in all the right places. If the two get away unharmed, whatever information they have gathered is sure to be of vital importance.

This episode of 'The Good Fight' airs May 21, on CBS All Access.
