Spoilers for 'The Good Doctor' Season 3 Finale Part 1 (Episode 19)

Almost halfway through the season, there was one hottest topic of discussion among viewers and fans, and one burning question — will Dr Shaun Murphy ever get Lea Dilallo to understand his feelings for her?

For context, especially for those who have missed the last couple of episodes, Shaun has finally realized that Lea is the love of his life. Despite her continued rejection, Shaun didn’t give up, to the extent that he became aggressive and had a meltdown. He reached the point of wanting to hurt Lea, or hurt himself, like an obsessed lover. But we don’t blame the poor young surgeon. Despite their long years of friendship, Lea insulted Shaun by pointing out at his autism. Every one of Shaun’s friends, colleagues, and well-wishers tried to help him get out of the dejected and depressive state, but to no avail.

Then the unforeseen situation happened. In a sudden, unpredicted earthquake, parts of San Diego got affected, injuring many people, including some doctors from St Bonaventure. Of them, were Dr Neil Melendez and Shaun.

Shaun goes on a hunt to search for Lea and gets trapped in the basement and Neil suffers a severe hemorrhage and is rushed to the hospital.

Take a look here at what’s coming in Season 3 finale.

While searching for Lea, Shaun ends up saving an earthquake victim and talks about his lost love. Lea ends up hearing all that on the radio while being held at an emergency service. And then suddenly, Shaun gets almost buried under a pile of rubble, taking this to a classic “will she won’t she” stage.

Now with Shaun’s life at stake, we wonder if this will become a life-changing, mind-altering situation for Lea and she will realize his significance in her life.

If you ask us, we strongly believe that it can finally happen. The answer to the question we all have been asking for weeks will now come to light. Also because the episode is called ‘I Love You’, it’s a no brainer that there will be a confession of love. It could also be from Dr Claire Browne to Neil, since she had declared her feelings for the latter to her therapist and now as he lies fighting for his life, she might take the opportunity to tell him that she loves her.

So, whether it’s Lea or Claire, the season finale episode is about professing love for their respective men and our money is on Lea.

‘The Good Doctor’ Season 3 Finale Part 2 (Episode 20) will air on March 30, 10 pm/9c, only on ABC.
