The Flash standalone movie pushed to 2021 as lead Ezra Miller shifts focus to 'Fantastic Beasts'
Fans of 'The Flash' will have to wait little longer to watch the standalone 'Flash' movie in theatres as the movie has been pushed till 2021 for release, reported Variety. Warner Bros. is postponing the start of filming on the studio's untitled standalone Flash film. The film never received an official greenlight nor did it have an official release date, yet it was expected to start filming in March. However, a script is still being worked on and the studio thinks that it won't have enough time to get the script in shape and make its original date.
The problem is due to the lead actor Ezra Miller also having an important role in 'Fantastic Beasts', a 'Harry Potter' spin-off series. The third film in the franchise is expected to begin shooting from July, which will cause scheduling nightmares. The standalone Flash film is now expected to begin production in late 2019. So, the film might not see release until 2021.
