'The Flash' Season 7: Will supervillain team Legion of Zoom make an appearance in the upcoming installment?
Season 7 of 'The Flash' might still be a long way off, but that hasn't stopped theories about who the villains would be in the upcoming installment. For six seasons now, we have seen Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) battle countless metas and while Godspeed is rumored to be the next villain that Barry would go up against, there's a new theory we can look at. What if the new season introduces us to the infamous Legion of Zoom? The comics have already introduced us to the supervillain team and now the time looks ripe to see then on screen as well.
The latest comic, The Flash #758, sees the Legion of Zoom take on Barry and Eobard Thawne/Reverse-Flash manages to somehow merge his body with the Flash and races off saying "I have a family to take care off". One of the main reasons why we can look at this as a possibility is because Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) has been Barry's nemesis in the series for six seasons now and has managed to make a clean getaway each time. The last season saw him possess Nash Wells (Cavanagh again).
So there are similarities. It does look like Thawne has managed to perfect the ability to merge and this might happen to Barry considering the speedster is actually running on residual energy following the death of the Speed Force. This might actually make it easier for the villain to target Barry's family. As far as the other members of the legion are concerned, legion in the comics comprises of Gorilla Grodd, Captain Cold, Golden Glider, Trickster, Turtle and The Tornado Twins. While Glider, Turtle and Tornado Twins are yet to make a mark in the Arroweverse show, a probable full season might just see an introduction. This, of course, is pure speculation, but with 'The Flash' along with most Arrrowverse shows attempting to stay as accurate to comic history as possible, this most definitely is food for thought.
