Spoilers for 'The Flash' Season 6 Episode 11: 'Love is a Battlefield'

One of the plot points that was looked forward to in 'Love is a Battlefield' was the connection between Nash Wells (Tom Cavanagh) and Allegra Garcia (Kayla Compton). Before the end of last week's episode, Nash was shown looking at a photo of himself with Allegra that strongly hinted at a new connection.

The episode sees Caitlin Snow/Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) in the doldrums when she realizes she had no idea how the concept of Valentine's Day works. Trying to help her grasp the meaning and the importance is Allegra and Nash, who in their own ways offer some insight in helping Snow understand what relationships are about. It is then that Nash also reveals that Allegra was her daughter on his earth.

Allegra was one of the unlikeliest of allies in part 2 of the mid-season finale. There comes a point in the episode when Ramsey, Barry and the blood brothers infiltrate Star Labs. Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) tells Allegra to get the antidote across to the zombies by unleashing the largest UV blast she has ever fired.

The synopsis also looks at Allegra who has been a key member of Team Flash, or rather, team Iris, since the start of Season 6. Her relationship with Nash was widely discussed just before the epic crossover. 'Love Is a Battlefield'  is a title borrowed from the 83' album 'Live from Earth' by Pat Benatar.

The showrunner, Eric Wallace, in an interview with TVLine teased it as an important storyline. "That’s a very big storyline: Who is in that photograph? What does the photograph mean to everyone? And how does it affect Team Flash?" He had also added the connection would be explained in the upcoming episode.

'The Flash' Season 6 airs Tuesdays 8 pm on The CW.
