This article contains spoilers for 'The Flash' Season 6: 'The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Part 2'

'The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, part 1' saw the arrival of the Negative Flash. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) seems to have embraced his dark side as he succumbed to Bloodwork's (Dr. Ramsey Rosso played by Sendhil Ramamurthy) temptations— one of them included surviving the impending 'Crisis on Infinite Earths'.  In what came across as a predictable plot, fans thought it would be Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) or Joe West (Jesse L. Martin) who would bring Barry back, but we were in for a surprise.

Kayla Compton's Allegra Garcia was one of the unlikeliest of allies in part 2 of the mid-season finale. There comes a point in the episode when Ramsey, Barry and the blood brothers infiltrate Star Labs. Cisco (Carlos Valdes) tells Allegra to get the antidote across to the zombies by unleashing the largest UV blast she's ever fired. Meanwhile, Ramsey and Barry arrive at the particle accelerator and the former infects the technology. Iris and Ramsey attempt to regain control of the Scarlet Speedster, before Iris puts them both down with a temporary blast. Allegra arrives on the scene and unleashes a massive UV wave that negates Ramsey's effects, turning everyone back to normal.

This might be a surprise move the Arrowverse may have pulled and is a great way to welcome Allegra into Team Flash's fold. With the 'Crisis' effectively beginning in the final few minutes of the episodes, the heroes will need all the help they can get and Allegra comes in as a valuable addition. But will she be one of the casualties of war?

What do you think about Allegra being Barry's savior in 'The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Part 2'

'The Flash' Season 6 airs Tuesdays 8 pm on The CW.
