The latest episode of 'The Flash' titled 'The Last Temptation of Barry Allen: Part 1' was an intense one. Barry (Grant Gustin) gets infected by Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurthy), and is torn between accepting his blood and surviving the impending 'Crisis', or sacrificing himself as he is meant to. After maintaining a stoic attitude towards the Crisis for a long time, Barry finally admits that he doesn't want to die.

The episode has a bone-chilling ending, as Barry decides to choose the dark side, and evolves into the Negative Flash.

Fans are in shock and have been live-tweeting their reactions throughout. One of them tweeted, "I wish they did this episode like three weeks ago bc i would happily watch grant play negative flash for several episodes. just as fun to watch as red k kara man i live for this shit (sic)."

Another wrote, "WOW! What an ending. Love that episode. What a cliffhanger as well! The Negative Flash is here! Can't wait to see what they next week...loved how they teased the big CGI Bloodwork as well in the shadows!"

One fan wrote, "#TheFlash This episode tonight was crazy. Great acting and The Negative Flash I didn’t see that coming."

A fan was full of praise for the episode and tweeted, "#TheFlash probably had the best episode of this season and in a while tonight !!!! Loved it !!! Love the whole internal turmoil of choosing good vs evil !! Also Grant Gustins acting is so on point !! Also loved the all girl reporter team up."

"This is 100% the coolest shot of this season so far. NEGATIVE FLASH HAS ARRIVED! 'Run Everyone.....Run'," a fan excitedly tweeted.

Barry gives into Bloodwork's lure, which means that this could be the origin for the Negative Flash. "So Bloodwork's blood in the Flash & a psychological battle lost= new origin for Negative Flash?" wrote one fan.

The 'Crisis' will begin from the next episode, and fans are all agog to see how this goes down. 'The Flash' airs on CW Tuesdays.
