'The Flash' Season 6 Episode 3 drops some subtle easter eggs leaving fans yearning for Ted Kord to make a Blue Beetle cameo
'The Flash' might have had mixed reviews with its past few seasons, but the currently-running season six seems to be a strong turning point in the show.
The third episode of 'The Flash' from the season was released today and has led to much discussion, debate and the usual discovery of easter eggs on social media.
In the latest episode titled 'Dead Man Running', much has been done to flesh out the relationship between Barry and his latest nemesis, Dr. Ramsey Rosso.
Apart from this, Mitch Romero appears as another threat. Interestingly, Romero could be a reference to George A. Romero, who made 'Night of The Living Dead'.
Fans found this little easter egg quite useful. One user wrote, "Why didn’t I make a connection with Romero and him being a zombie till now? (sic)."
Meanwhile, others hoped for a cameo from Ted Kord from the Arrowverse. While he was mentioned, he did not appear in the episode. One fan reacted, "Ted Kord? Can we PLEASE get that cameo?"
Ted Kord is the second person to take up the superhero mantle of Blue Beetle. One user wrote, "One day, I hope we get Ted Kord in the flesh."
Meanwhile, Ralph’s reference to Marv Perez in the show is a reference to Marv Wolfman and George Perez, who were behind the artwork for 'The Crisis on Infinite Earths', a 12-issue maxi-series.
The impending 'Crisis' is set to be the biggest event this year, with all the 'Arrowverse' shows leading up to the multiverse battle.
"'Marv Perez' stated by Ralph is such an awesome nod to Marv Wolfman and George Perez who wrote and did the art (respectively) for the 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' 12-issue maxi-series," one user wrote.
Going by the appreciation on social media, 'The Flash' season six might just be what the doctor ordered for comic buffs and superhero fans out there.
