'The Flash' Season 6 Episode 19 Finale Preview: Will Iris lose her memory?

Even if Iris does get saved from the Mirrorverse, there's a high chance that she won't be the same

Not the Crisis, but the Mirror Master Eva McCulloch became the real problem to consider in Season 6 of 'The Flash'. She abducted Iris West (Candice Patton) into the Mirrorverse, replaced her with a mirror-clone, who did all sorts of insidious things on her instruction. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) was too caught up with worry about his dying speed to notice the subtle changes in his wife.

However, after he was booted out of his own house, he realized something was off and decided to confront the problem. A showdown ensued between him and Mirror Iris. Unable to defeat her with his dying powers, he managed to get through to her emotionally. Unfortunately, Eva McCulloch (Efrat Dor) got clone Iris killed. In the previous episode, Team Flash realise that they need to get Iris and Kamilla (Victoria Park) out of the Mirrorverse, using a perpetual motion machine.

The component of this machine is found in Atlantis, as Cisco (Carlos Valdes) deduces.

In the promo for the finale titled 'Success Is Assured', Eva's husband Joseph Carver warns Barry that Iris, if she is still alive, might not be herself at all, due to the constant neural dissonance in the Mirrorverse. Barry still vows to get her out at any cost, and if the synopsis of the episode is anything to go by, Barry is going to risk everything to save her from the Mirrorverse.

The question remains, what if Iris isn't Iris? Another possibility could be that she would lose her memory as well. Will Season 7 revolve around this storyline now, along with Barry trying to create an artificial speed force? Season 7 could go either way, but the problems for Barry and Iris are far from over. Sorry West-Allen fans, it's going to be a while before you might see your favorite Arrowverse reunite again.

Season 6 has been the most emotionally turbulent of all 'The Flash' seasons, as Barry Allen is being tested in every way possible. The finale promises to be a nerve-wracking one, and let's see how Team Flash works their way around it.

'The Flash' airs on CW, Tuesdays at 8 pm.
