Whew, that was a rollercoaster of an episode. While Ralph Hartley goes on a not-so-romantic adventure with Sue Dearbon, Iris West-Allen (Candice Patton) has other problems to deal with. For starters, she is stuck in the Mirror World with Eva McCulloch, while another Iris has taken her place.

After the events of 'The Crisis On Infinite Earths', the DC heroes have no access to the alternate Earths. However, in the latest episode titled 'A Girl Named Sue', the writers found a new way to introduce the concept of alternate Earths, via the mirror world. Unlike the alternate Earths that we have encountered, this world has no people, except well Eva McCulloch (Efrat Dor).

McCulloch explains that superstring theory allows for the existence of fractal worlds, which exist in other dimensions rather than occupying different vibrational frequencies.

One night, Eva was working late in her office, when she was transported into the giant mirror inside her office. For six years, she has been stuck there, struggling to stay sane. Her escape plans have all failed. And in this episode, she meets Iris and the two try to devise a new method of escaping from this glassy form of hell.

Iris tries to use liquid nitrogen to escape, but this just causes the mirror to shatter into a million pieces. Eva begins to lose all hope from being free, till she realizes that she possesses powers and can put the mirror back together. Through the newly reassembled mirror, Iris can see Barry, and he almost begins to suspect that there is something strange happening. At the end of the episode, Iris promises Eva that they will find a way out of this world soon.

Meanwhile, mirror Iris has plans of her own to track down Black Hole and is on a mission to get her hands on the Mirror Gun, something that Barry is cautious about giving her. Yet, at the end of the episode, he hands it to her and says that he trusts her to use it well.

'The Flash' airs on Tuesdays at 8 pm on The CW.
