Team Flash may be in dire straits at the moment, but in Danielle Nicolet's DA Cecile Horton, they have a character who has been a pivotal binding force before and is instrumental in keeping the team going.

Nicolet guest-starred in season one and was back in a recurring role in seasons three and four.  Seasons five and six saw her go to full series regular and in an exclusive with MEA WorldWide (MEAWW), the actor shed light on her journey and an average day on the sets of 'The Flash'.

"I am, I stuck around, I dated the show, I courted them for a while, for a couple of seasons there and then we decided to commit to each other at the beginning of the last season," Nicolet explained.

Talking about how her character arc progressed with her power being able to read people's minds, she summed it up in one word: "Awesome".

"The first couple of seasons when I was on the show my motto was every day was a great day on The Flash," she shared.

"I would go to work and have so much fun and hang out with these people that I really love and Jesse is someone who I would be FF in real life and I just felt like nothing could make this job cooler."

"Then the producers called me at the end of season 3 I think and said, 'Hey we want to pitch an idea with you. We want to know if you're open to it and this is where we want to go as far you sticking around on the show. We want you to have a baby' and I went 'Ah!' and they said, 'But the baby gives you powers!"

When asked if it came down to choosing between being a speedster or having empathic powers, Nicole said it was a tough call.

"Oh, that would be a tough call," she remarked. "If I were to be a speedster, that means I could go all over the world, without having to sit in a coach or long flights, so that's a really, really good one. But the empathic powers means I am kind of a human lie detector nobody can get away with, not with me."

Nicolet's powers were put to the test in episode 2 this season where the Flash takes on Ultraviolet. However, it was a victory for Horton and team Flash and with the many hurdles coming their way, including the 'Crisis, Horton surely has a key role to play.

'The Flash' airs Tuesdays at 8 pm on The CW.
