'The Five' host Judge Pirro says Nikki Haley calling Vivek Ramaswamy 'scum' was 'over the top', asserts CEO won third GOP debate

Vivek Ramaswamy had dragged Nikki Haley's daughter into the debate which did not go down well with the South Carolina Governor

NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: After the third Republican US Presidential Debate, many have different ideas about who won and who lost their third chance at convincing the Republican voters. This includes Fox News host Judge Jeanine Pirro.

While most people sided with Nikki Haley when Vivek Ramaswamy dragged her daughter into the debate, Pirro did not seem to think her reaction was valid. 

The Fox News host also reflected on who came out to be the winner of the debate from the five GOP candidates, including Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, and Tim Scott.

Pirro, who has previously been part of the elections herself, went on to say that South Carolina Governor Haley should not have reacted so strongly. 

"Nikki Haley calling Vivek 'scum' was over the top," the judge said. "I ran for office five times. I get it when they come after your family, believe me, I get it."

Pirro also seemed to believe that Haley's reaction to the CEO was not just about bringing her family into the debate. 

She continued, "I think that her reaction was more about Vivek saying not just 'you're Dick Cheney in 3-inch heels' but that she's on the board of Raytheon, she's on the board of Lockheed and she's a neo-con. She wants to go in and bomb everybody. I thought that that's what got under her skin, for her to call him 'scum'."

Judge Pirro hails Vivek Ramaswamy's performance at GOP debate

Pirro, like most of her fellow hosts, gave her vote to Ramaswamy for the debate performance. 

"I think that Vivek is very much, as Jesse said, he's a populist. He said a lot of things that people wanted to hear," she said.

Pirro also brought up Ramaswamy's attack on moderator Kristen Welker from 'Meet The Press'. Ramaswamy accused Welkar of being a part of the Russia collusion hoax during Trump's presidency. 

"In my non-scientific and certainly random Twitter poll of 20,000 people, and I want to thank you for answering, 79% of those people thought that Vivek won," said Pirro.

NBC hosted the GOP debate for the first time in this election cycle. The previous two debates were hosted by Fox, a more Republican-leaning and conservative network. 

Pirro also added, "I think that Nikki on abortion and that whole issue, she's thought it out so well. And I think that she is really on top of her game there."

Ron DeSantis did not come out strong for the judge as she said, "I think that in the end, DeSantis, he can do the job but he can't get any excitement! I just kinda looked at him and 'Oh, it's him again', 'He has his cowboy boots on again.' You know, there's really nothing to say."
