'The Five' host Jessica Tarlov asks Joe Biden to 'embrace' border wall construction as POTUS says he had 'no choice'
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: The Biden administration is facing mixed reactions from Democrats and Republicans alike over the recent developments in the Southern border wall construction.
While it works in the favor of the GOP consistently endorsing border protection in lieu of the migrant crisis, President Biden is facing attacks from his own party.
In response to this complicated state of affairs, the Democrat host on 'The Five', Jessica Tarlov, suggested that the President might as well consider siding with the border wall, revealing some "hidden benefits" for the blue party.
Jessica Tarlov talks about the 'hidden benefits' of Biden admin supporting border wall
POTUS Joe Biden is facing backlash, mostly from his supporters, for supposedly changing his stance on immigration through the border.
However, Biden made it clear in his recent address that the expedition in the southern border wall construction was in no way indicative of his administration's position on the issue, but Congress' refusal to re-appropriate the funds that were allocated back in 2019.
As Jesse Watters introduced the topic, saying, "Biden continues to say walls don't work, but he had no choice," 'The Five' host Tarlov saw a silver lining in all this that might actually help the Biden administration.
"I do think that there are hidden benefits to this," she started, "Remember when the courts kept saying that Title-42 had to be extended so the Biden administration could say 'It's not us. We don't want it.'"
She continued, "But it ended up being something that was kind of stymying migration a little bit."
Fox News host urges Joe Biden to be a little 'harsher' on the border issue
Tarlov also went on to say that instead of dodging the blame for the wall construction, Biden should instead be a little harsher about it, comparing previous leaders' stance on the migration issue.
"Biden should really reconsider embracing— I'm not saying deporter-in-chief” but both Bill Clinton and Barack Obama had reputations for being quite harsh about the border. And it didn't hurt them both electorally; they both got resoundingly reelected and that is an option here."
Tarlov also referred to Mayor Eric Adams visiting the borders to address the migrants and give them a reality check of New York's migrant crisis. The Fox News host said that Biden should just "own it" and that might lead to some sort of control over the crisis.
