'The Favourite' trailer: Olivia Coleman reigns supreme in the face of a royal tragicomedy

As the story, centered in the 18th century England unfolds, Coleman's delightfully eccentric portrayal of the gout-ridden Queen is complemented by Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz.

On the heels of a successful opening at the film festival circuit -  last week's Venice and Telluride film festivals, Olivia Coleman-starring 'The Favourite' has unveiled an official trailer for the British historical drama. And if the clip is any proof, it's one of those rare tragicomedies that triumphs over the trivial to highlight the tragicomedy that's at the heart of this Yorgos Lanthimos-directed period piece.
