'The Disney Family Singalong' brought the magic and wonder of Disney classics into the homes of millions of families who were quarantined at home on Thursday night, April 16.

The Walt Disney Company thoughtfully organized this night of karaoke singing along to Disney classics in order to keep their fans (both parents and kids) entertained while stuck indoors, and it was certainly a night to remember, full of warmth, nostalgia and generosity.

A host of talented singing celebrities from Ariana Grande and Christina Aguilera to the cast of 'High School Musical' and the 'Aladdin' musical decided to put together an elaborate remote-access singing show for us viewers, while encouraging us to join in the fun of many treasured Disney soundtracks, from 'Cinderella' to 'Moana' and everything in between.

Considering all the resources they had to pull off a show of this magnitude was whatever they could rustle up at home, the singing celebrities really came through in the clutch in order to keep our hopes and spirits alive through the transformative nature of these time-honored Disney melodies. It was easy to keep up with the lyrics as they flashed up on our screens too, since the Disney logo happily bounced along with the words in time to the music.

The list of performances by the star-studded lineup was hosted by Ryan Seacrest, and he was ably supported by our vocal coach for the night, Broadway star Kristin Chenoweth. Stars like Elle Fanning, Beyonce and many more made special appearances, and it was all for a good cause — people who could afford it were encouraged to generously donate to Feeding America’s COVID-19 response efforts.

If you and your family were a fan of treasured Disney classics, then you would have been swept off your feet by these amazing performances. It was a night of nostalgic entertainment, generous giving & receiving, cozy togetherness and optimistic dreams.
