Trump is trying to deport Melania, says Trevor Noah as he jokes about the president's immigration policy

Noah said when he looked at President Trump's immigration policies together, there was a pattern as he noted that Trump's line of attacks on the immigrants could apply to Melania as well
UPDATED AUG 18, 2019

Talk about theories, especially ones that have a tinge of conspiracy to it. On Wednesday, 'The Daily Show' host, Trevor Noah, put in an interesting theory about President Donald Trump's immigration policy.

Noah said: "I think, Donald Trump is trying to deport Melania."

The TV show host added that when he looked at Trump's immigration policies together, there was a pattern. He also noted Trump's line of attacks on the immigrants, could apply to the First Lady as well.

To start with, Trump censured those people working in the country illegally.

"Everyone assumes that because he’s racist, he’s talking about Mexicans," Noah explained.

"But actually, he could be talking about Melania, who, according to the AP, never obtained the correct visa for her modeling work in the US. Her staff promised a press conference to address the issue in 2016, but that never happened – though “to be fair, it’s only been three years since that promise was made", Noah joked.

"Personally, I love her too," Noah said on the show. "Neither of us would be here if it weren’t for Donald Trump," the TV show host said as both he and Melania are immigrants, the Guardian reported.

Noah's comments came as Trump attacked immigrants arriving in the country through "special" working visas.

"Again, people assume Trump was talking about Indian computer programmers in Silicon Valley...but if you follow the clues, you’ll realize that this guy was actually slamming his wife".

Back in 2001, Melania was a model and had somehow managed to obtain an 'Einstein Visa', which is reserved usually for athletes, artists, and excellent researchers.

"Which seems strange,” Noah said. “Although I guess if you spend enough time standing next to Donald, anyone starts to look like Einstein," Noah was quoted as saying as reported by Vanity Fair.

"And finally, there’s one of Trump’s favorite immigration complaints: chain migration. Yes, one of the things Donald Trump hates most about America’s immigration policy is that immigrants’ families can come to live with them in the U.S.," Noah opined.

"The problem? Melania’s parents immigrated to the U.S. that way."

"So that’s what Donald Trump was trying to stop!” Noah added.

“He was trying to turn his in-laws into outlaws. Which is super hardcore."

The show host concluded saying, "I see what you’re doing, Donald, and I’m not going to let it happen".

He also encouraged 'The Daily Show' fans to tweet the hashtag #dontdeportmelania, "because if this great immigrant is forced to leave this country, then the United States can never truly 'Be Best.'"
