LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Emma Stone fans are outraged after the talented actress was notably absent from the list of nominees for the 76th Emmy Awards, which was announced on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Following her significant Oscar win for 'Poor Things' earlier this year, fans had high expectations that Emma Stone would add an Emmy to her accolades, making 2024 a truly golden year for her.

Emma portrayed Whitney Siege in the show, a character who, along with her husband, participates in a reality show while also trying to conceive a child.

In addition to Emma Stone's snub, Showtime's 'The Curse' was also overlooked and failed to secure any nominations for the awards event, leaving fans on the internet fuming with frustration.

Emma's exceptional acting in the show garnered both popular admiration and critical acclaim, making her exclusion from the nominee list all the more shocking for fans.

Fans voiced their dissatisfaction at Emma's exclusion under a Reddit post, titled, 'Emmy Snubs & Surprises: Kelsey Grammer, Emma Stone & John Mulaney Frozen Out; ‘Reservation Dogs’ & Idris Elba Make The Cut'

One fan wrote, "Emma Stone's snub is surprising, especially considering how good she was in The Curse."

Another fan replied, "She was predicted to win her category nevermind not being nominated at all! But The Curse got 0 nominations so obviously voters didn’t like it. Really disappointing."

Meanwhile, an agitated fan commented, "It is f*****g EGREGIOUS that Emma Stone was not nominated for The Curse."

One fan praised Emma, noting, "She was so, so good in The Curse. Her projects are always interesting."

"Here to echo all the comments about The Curse. Emma Stone was terrifyingly good," wrote another fan.

One fan criticized the nominations, saying,  "It’s insane that Emma Stone didn’t get nominated for this but we continually nominate the entire cast of The Morning Show."

Another fan raved about Emma, stating, "She simply is amazing in so many movies. The question is whether she should win everything... awards are silly."

"After watching The Curse, it solidified Emma/Emily being my favorite actor," said another excited fan.

When and how to stream Emmys 2024?

The annual ceremony honors outstanding achievements in television, celebrating the industry's most talented individuals and recognizing excellence across a variety of categories.
