'The Curse Of Oak Island' Season 8 Episode 7: Why did Alex Lagina dive into the sea? Fans say he could've died
There's a reason why it's called 'The Curse Of Oak Island'. The island in the North Atlantic is said to be an unforgiving one, especially to those who try to probe its secrets. You know the tale. For years, treasure hunters searched Oak Island thoroughly, frantically hoping that they would find chests filled with gold. The tale behind this manic search began centuries before the show ‘The Curse Of Oak Island’, in 1795, when young men discovered a depression in the ground beneath an old oak tree on Oak island, leading them to the conclusion that there’s treasure buried there. The hunt continued in the late 1800s with little success but more ferocity. And then began the ‘curse’, where humans perished in the hunt for buried treasure. According to the legend, in order to solve the Oak Island mystery, seven people must die. At the moment, six have died in the efforts of treasure hunting.
Well, in the latest episode of the show, Alex Lagina decides to dive down into the Atlantic to investigate a mysterious roadway and the team loses communication with him for a while. While Jack Begley, Peter Fornetti, Tony Sampson were not quite bothered, fans were a little worried (well, most of them, the others found it funny). However all's well that ends well, and Alex returned to the surface after finding practically nothing... except for a few boulders, that he's SURE means something. What, we don't know.
Some wondered why Peter remained deadpan while trying to communicate with his cousin who was searching the depths of the Atlantic. "I'd have thought Peter would sound more excited about his cousin being alive after all... #OakIslandCursers #CurseOfOakIsland," one wrote. "Peter's like, 'I'm not giving Uncle Marty the bad news, nuh uh...' #OakIslandCursers #CurseOfOakIsland," another wrote.
