Gather around Oak Island lovers and fellow treasure hunt lovers, 'The Curse Of Oak Island' returns with its next episode in a couple of hours. So be prepared for more excavations, exciting finds, mashed with thrilling theories. You can always count on the History Channel show to bring you some entertainment in these dark and gloomy times.
In the latest episode, the Lagina brothers will continue to investigate the swamp as they are sure that it provides the answers to the riddles that have been plaguing the island for over 200 years. They're sure that they're closing in on the Money Pit.
The official synopsis of the episode reads as, "The Restalls return to Oak Island with exciting new artifacts while Rick, Marty and the team reach new depths in the Money Pit in their final push before winter."
In the previous episode titled 'Springing The Trap', the team tried to excavate Shaft 8, which is another site on the island, as they were sure it would lead somewhere profitable. They unearthed a whole lot of 'original' wood. This wood, according to their Blacksmith expert Carmen Leggae, is speculated to have been part of a booby trap in the Money Pit as well. We already know (or rather believe) that intricately planned flood tunnels were constructed as booby traps to stop searchers from investigating further. What *if* these intricate wood pieces were part of some structures or traps to distract searchers? Well, anything is possible.
They also discovered an iron hinge and they were convinced that it was from a treasure chest. However, this all that they could find and were rather disappointed. Yet, the team's spirits are never dampened and they are more determined than ever to continue their excavations before the winter closes in. They've had a tough time this season, as they had to battle Hurricane Dorian, which literally rained on their parade and ruined several weeks of effort. Nevertheless, they were back on their feet and made more intriguing discoveries, including a ring.
Will we finally reach the Money Pit? Or will we find some other historical knowledge on the island? Tune into 'The Curse Of Oak Island', which airs on History Channel at 9 pm, Tuesdays.
