'The Curse Of Oak Island' Season 7 Episode 20: Gary Drayton is the real 'treasure' on island, say amused fans
Whenever the fellowship loses hope in 'The Curse Of Oak Island', Gary Drayton's glowing optimism always brings them back on track. In the latest episode of the History Channel show, the team spends most of the time digging through layers of mud and soil, in the hope of intercepting the Money Pit. While they discover pieces of wood and iron, they are rather devastated when they don't find anything else. Yet, Gary is always there to remind them that they are pretty close to their target and not to lose hope.
Gary is a fan's favorite, as he is the one who usually finds a strange assortment of things and expresses his excitement in rather endearing terms. In the latest episode, he finds iron spikes in the mud and says it is "like finding a needle in a haystack."
A fan tweeted, "Needle in a claystack.” Gary IS the treasure on Oak Island!!", while another one wrote, "It's a toothpick, Gary."
Other fans have made a drinking game out of 'The Curse Of Oak Island', and they always take a sip whenever Gary is excited. "Talk about finding a needle in a haystack!” Gary is excited DRINK!!!"
"Gary gets the Gold Medal for wearing a hat in a weird way tonight," observed another fan.
Meanwhile, fans tweeted sarcastic posts about how they were 'shocked' that the team did not find any treasure today. "You COULD find something tomorrow...and yes...we'll continue to be here to watch you!! Because....we love pain...lots and lots....of pain. Good night all...unless you're watching Skinwalker Ranch!!"
" WHO WOULD'VE GUESSED ANOTHER DEAD END?" tweeted a fan. " Wait....the team is approaching another Dead End??" wrote another fan.
Another fan wrote, "Did we just sit through that whole hour of nonstop sexual innuendo for them to discover a thumbnail sized hinge?"
Other fans noted that the iron hinge found, looked nothing like an iron hinge. "That looks nothing like a hinge to me," tweeted a fan. “Wealth of knowledge” is the only treasure they will find," wrote another fan.
The Oak Island team does not have much time, as they'll have to shut down operations in a week before winter sets in.
'The Curse Of Oak Island' airs on History Channel, Tuesdays at 9 pm.
