'The Curse Of Oak Island' never fails to provide entertainment to fans, and especially in these dark times of lockdown it's more than necessary. In the latest episode, Gary Drayton and Rick Lagina dig up an old ring, and theorize that it is from the 1730s, and could just be a Spanish ring from the fabled treasure people have been hunting for years. Along with that, the team also discovered fragments of a human bone. All in all, it was an exciting episode.

Fans are getting impatient and are wondering when will Oak Island unearth the treasure that has supposedly been buried on the island for more than 200 years. Some fans took potshots at the discovery of the ring.

One fan tweeted, "They found a ring on #CurseOfOakIsland, they could milk another 6 seasons out of this BS..."

As the Knights Templar is a constant refrain on the show, some fans couldn't help making a reference to it, as a form of a joke. "A ring? Pre-1730? Like the kind found in Templar Crackerjack boxes given to kids when their Templar dads took them out to the old ballgame?"

Other fans were merciless with their jokes. "The ring says Class of 1444," one wrote.

"So what we’re looking at here is some 18th century man that had a family heirloom ring and at least three fiancés," another tweeted.

"I have a possible origin for the ring: eBay," tweeted another fan.

A fan wrote, "The ring is treasure, but not the cache, or return on investment, I'm sure these guys were hoping to find. Seven flower petals...is that significant?"

The narrator had called the ring 'ornate' and 'simple'. So a fan questioned, "Asking for a friend: how can a ring be simple and ornate at the same time?"

Apart from this, fans were also irritated that the team had not investigated Dan Blankenship's original work before. In the recent episode, they searched his house and found a curious map.

"NOBODY has looked through Dan's relevant work. Come on Fellowship. Where's your research. And we may have to look elsewhere. Oh no no no no no," tweeted a fan.

"Elsewhere, Rick? Oh no, buddy! You all need to buckle down and find some good stuff! And wth is this? No one has examined Blankenship's stuff yet?" another wrote.

Another fan wrote, "Open a random drawer and find a random map that has never been seen before. Please just shoot me now and put me out of this misery," tweeted a fan.

'The Curse Of Oak Island' airs on History Channel, Tuesdays at 9pm.
