The easily excited Gary Drayton had us all jumping up and down when the promo of the tenth 'The Curse Of Oak Island' episode showed a promise of silver. Sadly, it wasn't silver. It was impure lead. Now that's painful knowledge.

Fans are having a good laugh at this and are flooding social media with their reactions.

One fan wrote, "Awww...sorry, buddy. I really do wish it was silver because damn, we be waiting for something."

Another tweeted, "Impure lead. Gary's expertise has been shot to bits. #OakIslandCursers #CurseOfOakIsland."

"Impure lead? He was wrong? I am shocked," wrote a sarcastic fan.

Some fans were not entirely polite and lashed out at Gary for his assumptions. "#CurseOfOakIsland Gary should get a pillow party for that fuckup," tweeted a fan.

"Gary sure “lead” us to believe that was silver, didn’t he?" wrote another.

"Enough of your covering your screw up Gary give up on the patina," tweeted a fan.

In the episode, the team finally gets the permit to drain the swamp. However, most of the episode was devoted to the impure lead object. Fans were irritated and hoped that the show would get back on track. " I feel like we're so close to finding the money pit...but they keep diverting us from that with mindless junk..." tweeted a disgruntled fan.

A viewer wrote, " Stop testing...just find the treasure."

"Damn the noise of the lead, let's get to digging out the swamp already!" tweeted a fan.

As 'The Curse Of Oak Island' is filled with Templar references, fans eagerly wait to hear the excited narrator mention it again. "Here's our Templar reference..I can feel it!!" a fan wrote.

"Knights Templar baby!!" wrote another fan.

What will draining of the swamp bring? We'll find out in the next episode.

'The Curse Of Oak Island' airs on Tuesdays at 9 pm, on History Channel.
