'The Chi' Season 3 Episode 10: 'Lena needs to tighten it up', say fans after season finale

'The Chi' Season 3 came to an end on Sunday, August 23, and while there is eager anticipation for a Season 4, fans seem to have had a mixed opinion on the series so far. Unlike the previous seasons, the start was terrific with Kiesha Williams's (Birgundi Baker)  kidnapping that lasted till Episode 8 and Ronnie's (Ntare Mwine) death was one of the shockers. However, it does appear a bunch of fans expected more out of the show as they requested Lena Waithe, the showrunner to "tighten it up".

Of course, this boils down to personal opinions by the end of the day and while this might have been what a few fans have asked for, the season, on a personal note has been an impactful one. For some, it did appear the show tied up loose ends. "They did tie up the loose ends. Good job. This has been a rough season for all of us. You all did well despite the chaos challenges and criticisms. Thank you all.. #Thechiwriters #TheChiFinale #TheChi," wrote one of the fans.

"Episodes were good but collectively season was not well written. No continuity #TheChi," opined one of the fans.

"I dont like the way the show ended ...Shows for any season finale suppose to make you ready for the next season  #TheChi," read one of the tweets.

"@Kandi I was all tuned in but it wasn’t as good as I thought it was going to be. There was really no suspense leading to a new season #TheChiFinale #TheChi #textfamily," wrote a fan who caught up with the episode.

"This season finale was so dry but now I really don’t have any shows to watch  #TheChi," read one of the comments.

"Season was better than I expectedly to be, but Lena needs to tighten it up. Season 1 & 2 were great. #TheChi," a fan remarked.

That said, there was another side of the crowd that actually praised the show for some great content. While a Season 4 announcement hasn't officially been made, considering the past success of the show, Showtime just might greenlight another season or two.
