Four episodes into Season 3 of 'The Chi' and there has been no trace of Kiesha Williams (Birgundi Baker') who went missing in the final minutes of the first episode. There have been new developments and one of the recent storylines saw Lena Waithe introduced in the show as Camille Hallaway, a potential mayor candidate all set to give Otis Douda Perry (Curtiss Jackson) a run for his money. There have been new directions for several characters.

Ntare Mwine's Ronald "Ronnie" Davis seems to have committed himself to the way of god. With Pastor Jackson taking a special interest in reforming Ronnie and giving him a sense of purpose, the man who always found himself in trouble is now all set to become god's messenger. As far as the relationship angles go, young guns Kevin (Alex Hibbert) and Jemma (Judae'a) are now steadily dating while Emmett (Jacob Latimore) has made peace with Tiffany (Hannaha Hall).

The upcoming episode titled, 'Terror Town' teases a new direction for Jada (Yolonda Ross) who has been attempting to seek love and finds one in Tomas Gutierrez (Salvador Chacon). The official synopsis reads: "Ronnie’s memories threaten his progress. An unexpected visit threatens Trig’s (Luke James) battle for custody of Jake. Kevin and his friend’s adventure tests the limits of their fight-or-flight instincts. Emmett capitalizes on a predicament. Jada meets Tomas’ (Salvador Chacon) family."

That Trig is desperate to make amends and take care of Jake (Michael V Epps) makes it heartening to see. He's someone with a steady mind and just might be a better parental figure than Perry who at some stage just might use the kid as a way to win his way becoming Chicago's mayor. Ronnie in the promo is all set to be baptized and that's a sight to see. Finally, things appear to go smoothly for him and hopefully, nothing evil will befall him.

And while we do know Kiesha's out there somewhere, a glimpse of her would give us some relief. Plus, our money's on Ronnie to find her.

'The Chi' Season 3 airs Sundays 9 pm ET on Showtime.
