'The Challenge': Jennifer West wins, but fans find Dee Nyugen's exit far more 'satisfying'

This week, Dee Nguyen got a line and a few minutes of screen time as part of the duel that had been brewing for a while now

'The Challenge: Total Madness' contestant Dee Nguyen was fired a few weeks ago. MTV had specifically mentioned in its statement that they have cut ties with the reality TV star, implying that she would be edited out of the show almost entirely and not be a part of the franchise going forward.

But this week, she got a line and a few minutes of screen time as part of the duel that had been brewing for a while now. She was pitted against Jennifer West for the last elimination of the season — Hall Brawl. The viewers of the show were taken aback that MTV didn't stick to their word and aired Dee's scenes. But they didn't have to stay disappointed for long because Jenny bested Dee in the final challenge and sent her home. It was a tough fight but one could see Jenny was in it to win it and wouldn't let go at any cost.

Meanwhile, fans are celebrating Dee's exit more than Jenny's win. "AND Dee got eliminated right before the final? Even more satisfying! #TheChallenge35 #TheChallenge," one user tweeted, while another shared: "Seeing Dee get destroyed like that as her final moments on #TheChallenge was just beautiful! byeeeee! You won’t be missed!" One viewer expressed, "So glad that dee got sent home. Finally #thechallenge." Another posted, "I laughed when Dee got destroyed by Jenny. What goes around comes around. #TheChallenge #TheChallenge35."

Clearly, the hatred for Dee has grown in the weeks that were followed by her unceremonious ouster. "MTV and Bunim/Murray Productions strongly condemn systemic racism and stand with those raising their voices against injustice," the network's statement read. She was a part of the show but was heavily edited out as a result of her offensive, racist tweets about the George Floyd incident. She had written: "People die every f***ng day." It triggered an outrage on social media, which prompted the channel to take such a harsh step. Dee will not even be a part of the reunion special episode, which is to be filmed at a later date.

Catch 'The Challenge: Total Madness' final on MTV on July 15, Wednesday.
