One of the major entrants in 'The Boys' Season 3 Episode 5 is the appearance of 'The Legend'. Played by 'Mad About You' star Paul Reiser, the character plays a crucial role in helping the boys find out more about Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) and his next move after he causes a massive blast in Manhattan. Much like the comics, The Legend is shown to be an absolute player and talks to everyone except Butcher.

Fandom describes The Legend, as "It's known that Old Legend runs a comic book store in The Boys universe. he also knew nearly everything about almost every supe in The Boys Universe. He refuses to talk to anyone but butcher, and he is still horny despite his old age." The Amazon Prime series charts this out accurately as Reiser's version surely knows everything about every supe there is. It's almost as if he were a living supe encyclopedia. Season 3 fixes one of the biggest mistakes from the previous season — bringing in the Legend.

'The Boys' Season 3 Episode 4: Jensen Ackles' Soldier Boy stuns fans, called 'a package deal'

The Legend is often thought to be a parody of Marvel legend Stan Lee and has appeared in 15 issues of Garth Enni's 72-issue run of the hit comic. Much about his appearance in the series was kept under wraps and his cameo will come as a surprise and even a much-awaited presence on the show. With this, The Legend can perhaps also help the boys, especially Hughie (Jack Quaid) know more about Victoria Neuman and her powers, and the mysterious past. Last seen, she was shown to be working with Homelander (Antony Starr) who gives her kid Temp V.

Reiser was most recently seen in Netflix's 'Stranger Things' Season 3 reprising his role as Dr Sam Owens. He shot to prominence with NBC's hit Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning sitcom 'Mad About You'. The series focused on newlyweds Paul and his public relations specialist wife Jamie (Helen Hunt) as they navigate the pitfalls of marriage in the Big Apple with charming humor, garnering widespread acclaim and earning numerous accolades. In its previous iteration, it ended with the birth of the couple's daughter, Mabel, and according to reports, there is a reboot in the works and will follow Paul and Jamie as they deal with their now-17-year-old daughter leaving home for college.

'The Boys' Season 3 Episode 5 is streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
